An abandoned mental asylum in Italy with large grand entrance halls. One room still contains items for performing electroshock treatments.
Manicomio di Colorno, or Asylum of Colorno is an abandoned asylum in Italy that was used to treat people with mental illnesses. The buildings are expansive, and appear to have been expanded over the years. The original building features a large grand entrance hall with high ceiling and stained glass in the doorway.
Upstairs the corridors meet at another large hallway, and in the other direction lead to many small rooms where patients would have received treatments. Heading further into the building the rooms become much more like cells, with small windows in the doors for checking on the patients.
A room with a medical bed and head restraint remains with electrical items by its side, where maybe some kind of barbaric electroshock therapy would have been performed.
