Villa Directeur is an abandoned mansion in Belgium. The house has seen better days, but there are still plenty clues about the owners lives left behind.
History
Villa Directeur is an abandoned house in Belgium. The house has been abandoned for a few years now, since the owner died in a tragic accident. He was a notoriously aggressive and argumentative businessman who had a love for Australian animals – the stuffed kangaroos around the house a testament to this fact. He had recently purchased a zoo and was demanding to see the Koala Bears before they had eaten their breakfast. Their handler wanted to feed them first and got into an argument with the manager. The Koala’s got spooked by all the shouting, leaped out of their enclosure and attacked the manager. He didn’t survive, but the koala’s lived happily ever after.
Top work mate some stunning shots and a great write up
Ooooh very nice, K!
This is a nice place. The owner didn’t had any family? I like your blog
I heard that one of the koalas broke a tooth, and the zoo sued the director’s estate, and the lawyers bills sent the estate bankrupt and that’s why the villa was never sold. Lush pics mate.
Awesome pics!! Awesome blog!! Just a question. . . . . .why is there never images of the kitchens in these abandoned places? I am sure that there must be some “stunning” kitchens as well. It is would be intersting to see what utensils and appliances ect. were used in “those” years. . . . . . . and just stuff left in kitchens.
