St Joseph’s Seminary in Upholland was one of two institutions in the North of England proving education to those wishing to enter the priesthood.

L’école FMP is a school and college building in France. The beautiful building has recently closed and the faculties moved to another campus.

George Barnsley & Sons were the world’s largest producer of files and cutting tools for the shoemaking industry, based at the Cornish Works in Sheffield.

Severalls Asylum opened as a mental hospital in 1913. The simple but elegant buildings contain some amazing corridors and doors. The hospital closed in the early 1990’s.

St Gerards is a small Hospital set up by the Father Hudson Society in Coleshill to provide treatment for children. It became a TB and orthopaedics hospital and closed in 1998.

The Victorian built St Georges hospital opened as a ‘lunatic asylum’ in the late 1850’s. It later became a general purpose NHS hospital until its closure.

The Sanyo Electronics factory focussed on the manufacture of televisions of all shapes and sizes. It closed its doors in 2010 due to a fall in demand for traditional TV’s.
