Opening in 1908 the Cardiff City Asylum had space for 750 psychiatric patients. The hospital closed in 2016 after being deemed unsuitable for modern services.
The Coalbrookdale Foundry mass-ironmaking was developed, leading to the Industrial Revolution. More recently, casting for Aga cookers were made there.
Dating back to 1920 the iron foundry on Bonchurch Street in Leicester produced small to medium sized castings until its closure in 2016.
